Amphibian Conservation
Amphibians are declining at an alarming rate all over the planet. Monteverde is no exception having lost almost 40% of its species since the late 1980's. The CRCF is dedicated to protecting riparian and wetland habitats. Additionally, the CRCF supports amphibian research that will lead to knowledge of amphibian natural history, causes of their declines, and sound conservation practices.

We are grateful for the dedication of the Ranario de Monteverde (The Frog Pond of Monteverde) for their collaboration in this endeavor. Part of the proceeds from entrance fees are donated to the CRCF for conservation work.
